  • WHY DO I NEED HEAD MRI SCANNING WITH MY HEALTH CHECK?

    Head MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) is included in every health check. MRI scanning has revolutionised diagnosis and monitoring in healthcare. It is an extremely accurate method of disease detection throughout the body. It is completely non-invasive and harmless to the body, using magnetic fields and radio waves instead of X-rays. Currently, testing using magnetic resonance are the most advanced and expensive studies in radiology.

    MRI enables the early detection of conditions such as:

    - Vascular problems, such as a brain aneurysm
    - Brain tumours
    - Stroke risk
    - Multiple sclerosis
    - Disorders of the eye and inner ear
    - Arterial occlusion or venous thrombosis

    MRI scanning may predict Alzheimer’s disease.

  • ARE YOU A "PACKAGE" PROVIDER AS IT IS DESCRIBED IN 1992 TRAVEL REGULATIONS?
    No, we are not.
    A ‘Package’ is defined as comprising of two or more of the following elements:
    1. Accommodation
    2. Transport
    3. Other Tourist Services
    We provide superb Accommodation and some of the best Medical Services - not Tourist Services
    We do not provide transport, that is down to individual clients who are responsible for coordinating their arrival and departures to tally their on-line chosen health check dates at the destination they choose.
    Transportation to and from a hotel which could be by train, taxi, air taxi or some other means, is organised and provided by individual hotels as a part of their service.
  • WILL I BE PICKED UP FROM THE AIRPORT?
    Yes, a taxi from the airport to the hotel and back on the arrival and departure days is included in the price. Transport from the hotel to the clinic and back can also be arranged by the hotel on request.
  • WHAT IF TWO OR MORE PEOPLE TRAVEL TOGETHER FOR A HEALTH CHECK?
    When two or more people wish to book health checks and travel together, please create separate accounts and reserve your health checks separately for the same day. You can pay for two or more reservations together by ticking the "I wish to pay for other reservations" option. You must have the other people’s health check reservation reference numbers handy at the time of payment.
  • WHAT IF TWO OR MORE PEOPLE TRAVEL TOGETHER BUT ONLY ONE PERSON IS HAVING A HEALTH CHECK?
    You do not need to create an account for anybody travelling with you who does not intend to have a health check. Simply indicate the room type you require and the number of people traveling. The accommodation price will automatically be adjusted before making a payment.
  • HOW FAR IN ADVANCE CAN I PURCHASE A HEALTH CHECK?
    Our system, directly linked with the hospitals in question, can handle advance bookings for up to 365 days ahead giving great planning scope. It makes sense to search your flights as early as possible, reserve your health check for the day after arrival at your destination and then buy your flights.
  • DO I HAVE TO BOOK AND PAY FOR MY OWN HOTEL SEPARATELY?
    No, a room at our carefully-selected luxury spa hotel partner will be automatically booked and waiting for you on the day before your health check. You can see which hotels are linked to which hospitals on the "Our Clinics" tab in the main menu.
  • DO I HAVE TO BOOK AND PAY FOR MY OWN FLIGHT SEPARATELY?
    Yes, you do. It’s much easier, as you have full freedom to choose the most suitable flight from a variety of great options we provide access to, however please note that you are responsible for coordinating your arrival and departure to tally your chosen health check dates at the destination you choose.
    Once paid, your hotel will be booked from the day before your health check. Please ensure that your flight dates and flight numbers are entered in your panel on our system to ensure a hotel pick up.
    In exceptional circumstances we reserve the right to provide an alternative hotel of the same or higher standard.
    After reserving your health check, you will be presented with a direct link to the booking engines of Trip Advisor Flights, Sky Scanner, Sri Lankan Airline, Air India as well as Ryan Air and Wizz Air for Polish destinations.
  • HOW LONG DOES THE HEALTH CHECK TAKE?
    The health check will take between 6 and 8 hours.
  • HOW DOES THE HEALTH CHECK COMPARE WITH WHAT’S AVAILABLE ON THE NHS?
    The standard NHS health check for people aged 40-74 assesses your risk of developing developing heart disease, type 2 diabetes, kidney disease or stroke. It combines a lifestyle and personal details questionnaire with checks on your blood pressure and cholesterol. Overall, it addresses common conditions that account for 23% of avoidable mortality in the UK. Our health checks screen for a much wider range of potential conditions.
  • WHEN DO I GET MY HEALTH CHECK RESULTS AND IN WHAT FORM?
    The majority of results will be presented to you in the verbal and written form during your stay. There will however be a few readings, e.g. from lab tests, which will be available within a maximum of two weeks from the day of your health assessment. We will contact you (and your GP if you wish) when all results are received. They will also be available online in your secure inbox here.

  • WHAT HAPPENS NEXT IF THE HEALTH CHECK REVEALS A HEALTH ISSUE?
    You will have a full consultation with the doctor responsible for your health check. During the registration process, we will ask for details of your UK GP and request your permission to provide him or her with appropriate details of any issues that the health check might reveal. You will then be able to consult your doctor upon your return to the UK.
  • DOES HEALTH CHECK HOLIDAYS OFFER TREATMENT?
    No. We can provide referrals to specialist hospitals in Poland, though, if necessary. Private treatment in Poland typically costs 20-30% of the standard price in the UK and is significantly less expensive than what is on offer in US facilities. Emergency treatment can be carried out locally for free if you hold a European Health Insurance Card (which can be easily obtained for free prior to departure from the UK) or refunded by the NHS after prior approval.

    Visas for EU/EEA citizens

    Citizens from EU or EEA countries do not require a visa to enter Poland. These countries include:
    Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom.

    Citizens from the following countries do not need a visa to enter when staying in Poland for less than 90 days:
